The Church of St Mary the Virgin, Padbury

Bringing Christ to the Community and the Community to Christ

As you know during COVID 19 the Church has had to be closed. We are working very hard to sort out reopening the church as and when we can.

Prayer Tree

From the beginning of December to Epiphany our Christmas tree which is usually inside church was  outside by the porch Villagers and visitors were invited to write a prayer or the name of a love one, a thank you, or a hope on a wooden bauble decoration and hang it on the tree. These were then prayed for each week.

Revd Ros Roberts

Revd Ros Roberts is the Vicar of Padbury and

Rector of the Lenborough Benefice, which includes Adstock, Gawcott and Hillesden

She and her husband, Ken, live in Padbury

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying: 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.'  John 8:12

When life seems difficult, when every thing seems dark and you feel anxious or alone Jesus will shine His light into your life.

You can light a candle online to pray for yourself, for a loved one or for a situation. Whatever is going on, make space to pray in your life. Follow the link below
